Preparation of tea

Internally:

Boil a cup (250ml) of water and pour over 1 tablespoon of the herb, leave to steep with a lid* for 15 minutes, strain and drink 1-2 times a day after meals. You can flavour with honey, little liquorice root or stevia (the latter two available from us) if desired.

Externally:

Boil a cup (250ml) of water and pour over 1 teaspoon of the herb, leave to steep with a lid* for 15 minutes, strain. Leave to cool, and use that concentrate. Always make a fresh batch every day.

* The lid ensures that none of the goodness of the tea is lost through evaporation.

N.B. You should not use metal implements when handling and preparing (brewing, stepping and drinking) herbal teas – this includes spoons, mugs and filters. This does not apply to the heating of the water (and excludes boiling the roots in the water). Wooden spoon accessories are available in our shop.

Our plants are harvested during particular seasons, times of the day and according to the lunar calendar to ensure the plants or parts of it have the highest nutritional value. For example, roots are picked on a waning moon. Once harvested, they are packaged by hand because we try to avoid using metal equipment and utensils that could reduce the beneficial properties of the plant.

Because these products do contain active ingredients, please ensure that you do not exceed the recommended doses and if in any doubt, or if you experience any side effects – however slight – please consult your doctor or healthcare professional.
