black tea

The most common type of tea in most households, and the base for many of our blends. Black tea differs from Green tea in that during the production process, the tea leaves are allowed to fully oxidise before they are heat-processed and dried. During oxidation, oxygen interacts with the tea plant’s cell walls to turn the leaves the rich dark brown to black colour that black tea leaves are famous for.

Coffee generally has the most caffeine content per cup, followed by black tea, then green tea, these infusions, therefore, contain a mild to strong dose of caffeine.
