cinnamon

Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark of several tree species and is a common taste in cooking, especially around Christmas time. The flavour of cinnamon is due to an aromatic essential oil and has long been used as a digestive aid.

It is also used for treating some fungal infections and open wounds – externally, and treating blood sugar levels (diabetes, for example), preventing Alzheimer’s disease and Multiple Sclerois, treating HIV/Aids, reducing the risk of cardiovasular disease.
